Gerald Delplace Joins Websense as Vice President for Southern Europe and Africa
Paris, September 22, 2008— Websense, Inc. (NASDAQ: WBSN) today announces the appointment of Gerald Delplace as Vice President for Southern Europe and Africa. In this position, he will run the Southern European and African sales operation. Delplace joins Websense with strong channel management experience and more than 20 years experience in the high-tech market of which nearly 15 years were spent in sales and general management.
Most recently, Delplace spent two years at Crossbeam Systems Inc where he held the position of Sales Director for France, Benelux & Middle East focused on channel relationship building and partnerships with ISVs.
Prior to that, he spent 8 years at Nokia Enterprise Solutions within the Internet mobile applications and security division where he held a number of roles. He was promoted to General Manager EMEA, managing over 80 people.
